SimplyBiz adds firm with 32 advisers to mortgage club

SimplyBiz Mortgages has added London-based advice firm City Mortgage Solutions to its mortgage club.

The brokerage firm, which has 32 advisers, will now have access to SimplyBiz's training seminars, helpdesk and compliance team, as well as its lender and provider panels.

SimplyBiz claims to support around 4,000 mortgage intermediaries across the UK. The mortgage club has been busy fleshing out its service to advisers over the last year.

In January, it launched a buy-to-let service to support advisers operating or planning to operate in the market.

In December, SimplyBiz's parent company Fintel agreed a distribution partnership with Aviva and Aviva Investors to a launch a sustainable retirement solutions. And in May last year, it partnered with Key Group on a later life lending service for advisers.

Paul Clark, managing director of SimplyBiz's latest advice firm addition City Mortgage Solutions, said: "Following an in-depth tender and due diligence process across the market, we are delighted to be joining up with the well-respected SimplyBiz Mortgages club."

After meeting corporate accounts head Brian Wills and chief executive Martin Reynolds, Clark said the advice firm "knew instantly" its thoughts were aligned. "Their initial presentation highlighted how they could work closely with us," Clark added.

Having worked at estate agency Countrywide for around 17 years, Clark set up City Mortgage Solutions in 2007.

“Having worked with Brian previously, we were confident that working together would be rewarding," said Clark.

"We are now in our 15th year of trading successfully in London and the surrounding counties and, along with my fellow directors, we are looking forward to the next chapter working closely with SimplyBiz Mortgages and the other companies that trust them to maximise the potential they have.”
