Just Mortgages has launched a series of focus groups to better understand brokers’ needs and help them branch into new product areas.
The firm said brokers with different experiences and backgrounds will be selected from across the country to form groups of 12 as part of the programme.
Each group will then brainstorm ideas such as how best to communicate important information to prospective clients.
In addition to this, the focus groups will help develop strategies brokers can use to target clients in new product areas and help them grow and diversify their businesses.
Just Mortgages national operations director, John Phillips said it’s easy for brokers to slip into silos without realising they have a wealth of knowledge to share with others in the company and so the focus groups were set up to tackle this.
“We set up these forums because we wanted a face-to-face interaction between brokers so that there was a really engaging exchange of views and opinions. We are merely acting as facilitators and ensuring that there is a mechanism to share these insights with other brokers,” Phillips said.
Phillips explained that the forums are not designed to be a “hollow echo chamber”, instead they have been set up to deliver tangible outcomes in the form of product literature, marketing and strategies for brokers to expand their businesses using real examples and case studies.
Once the focus groups have met, information from them will be rolled out across the country, according to the firm.
