Planning for your client's retirement is one of the most important parts of a financial adviser's work.

But not everyone gets it right, and by the time people reach their forties, they may be asking themselves if they are on track for a comfortable retirement.

Many advisers will need to tweak their client's portfolio to make sure they are on track, and a moot point is how much of their investment will be in equities, either directly, or through pooled funds.
