'Smoothing triple lock' could solve state pension problem

Aegon’s comments come after The Times reported prime minister Boris Johnson and chancellor Rishi Sunak were in conflict over whether to break from the state pension triple lock.

Mr Johnson is allegedly against any changes to the lock while Mr Sunak has raised concerns the coronavirus crisis will see the state pension increase by an artificially high and distorted amount next year.
