iPensions launches adviser portal

iPensions Group has launched a portal to support both advisers and their clients, offering faster applications for self-invested personal pensions (Sipps).

According to the firm, iPension’s adviser portal will enable advisers to complete the Sipp application process within minutes, compared to days or weeks with paper-based applications.

The portal saves time on administration and provides round-the-clock access to client information and applications.

Other features include electronic signatures, electronic ID checks, application tracking and access to investment valuations.

iPensions has also set up a team to onboard advisers for portal registration and provide information or help.

New updates and features will be regularly added to the portal, with further developments planned for early 2021.

Hrishi Kulkarni, chief technology officer at iPensions, said the portal was “a major step forward” in building adviser relationships.

Mr Kulkarni said: “The timing of the adviser portal launch is perfect, with everyone working from home and performing most tasks online.

“Simplified online application process with the adoption of electronic signatures, electronic ID checks (where available), application tracking, access to investment valuations and transactions at a click of a button with other features will provide an advantage for the advisers working with us.

“Our aim is to offer simplified secure technology solutions that will come with improvements over time.”

Earlier this year (July 21), Momentum Pensions rebranded its Sipp business to iPensions to prepare for growth in this area.

At the time, the firm said the rebrand reflected its focus on innovation in the Sipp market and its plans to release new products throughout the year following “significant investment” in technology.
