Transact adds Quilter portfolios to platform

Quilter Cheviot has partnered with Transact to give advisers access to its model portfolios through the platform.

The discretionary fund manager offers a range of portfolios which offer clients diversified exposure to global financial markets.

Glen Sweet, head of sales at Transact, said adding Quilter Cheviot onto the platform widens the choice for advisers when they are selecting discretionary investment managers to manage client money.

This latest addition means Transact now has more than 65 DFMs on the platform, managing money both on a model portfolio basis, as well as bespoke portfolio solutions.

David Butler, strategic accounts director at Quilter Cheviot, said he is confident the proposition will be well-received by financial advisers.

“Offering our service through the platform makes it simple for advisers to provide investment solutions that are both robust and flexible for their clients, while at the same time enjoying a high level of personal service themselves.”

Last month, Transact revealed plans to lower its platform charges as it looked to attract more customers to build scale.

Quilter launched the model portfolio service in 2001, and has since partnered with a number of platforms, including Ascentric, Aviva, Fusion, Novia, Nucleus, Standard Life and Zurich platform wraps.

Quilter Cheviot’s strategies have also been mapped by independent risk profiling services, including Distribution Technology’s Dynamic Planner, Capita’s Synaptic Risk Rating Service and FinaMetrica.

Mr Butler said this makes it easier for advisers to choose a strategy which matches a client’s appetite for risk and investment and financial objectives.
