Sheridan Admans has joined investment platform Tillit as head of fund selection.

Admans joins from The Share Centre where he spent 15 years, most recently as an investment manager.

Chief executive of Tillit, Felicia Hjertman, said: “We were blown away with Sheridan’s thoughtful approach to fund analysis, his focus on putting the personal investor front and centre, and his overall enthusiasm and drive to revolutionise how people invest and build a platform that creates real change.”

Admans said: "I think it’s a great time to be involved and see my role as helping facilitate the transaction of information from some of the best investment managers we have identified to empower Tillit customers to make informed decisions suitable to their needs.”

The investment platform was founded in 2019 by Hjertman, an ex-Baillie Gifford investment manager.

Last month she told FTAdviser the company is focused on “reducing choice paralysis” and “going deeper” on the 44 asset manager funds it currently hosts.

The platform launched in November last year, and has recently hired eight employees.

This came after a £3.6mn fundraise in December with participation from Techstart Ventures and a handful of angel investors - some of whom came from Hjertman’s last employer Baillie Gifford.

Asked what her long-term plans for the business were, Hjertman said: “I haven’t just left fund management to build a platform and sell it off after a few years…We want to build a leading provider.”
