Abrdn’s former global head of wealthtech solutions, Jenny Davidson, has moved to Quilter to oversee its platform and investment solutions business.
Davidson, who spent a decade at Abrdn, will be Quilter’s new head of strategic propositions.
At Abrdn, Davidson headed up the platform for nearly five years until January 2021, months before Standard Life Aberdeen rebranded to Abrdn.
Having also spent time at Tesco Bank, Barclays and RBS, Davidson will now report into Quilter’s commercial and propositions director David Tiller.
Tiller, a former colleague of Davidson, said she “commands huge respect in the market”, having been nominated for several awards.
“Being able to add market-leading talent to an already strong Quilter team puts us in a great position to deliver new innovations and customer propositions that respond to and anticipate needs of advisers and their clients,” he added, describing the present time as a “pivotal time” for Quilter.
“She [Davidson] has exceptional knowledge of the advice profession and the ever-changing regulatory environment, with a track record of collaborating with advisers to develop propositions to meet real client needs.”
In March, Quilter’s chief executive Paul Feeney told FTAdviser the business intends to “deepen” and “broaden” its relationship with third-party IFAs in large part through its new platform offering.
Net flows through the platform reached £3.5bn last year, up 133 per cent on Quilter’s previous platform net flows.
As of March 31, 2022, Quilter was overseeing £107.2bn in customer investments.
