Fourth man arrested over LV director's death released

The fourth man arrested in connection with the Guy Hedger murder investigation has now been released under investigation.

Mr Hedger, marketing and brand director of LV, was killed in the early hours of the morning on 30 April 2017 in his home in Castlewood in Ringwood.

The post-mortem examination found he died as a consequence of gunshot wounds.

A murder investigation was launched and is being led by Dorset Police’s major crime investigation team (MCIT).

On Thursday (11 May) a 45-year-old Poole man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary.

On Saturday (13 May) it was revealed he has been released under investigation.

Kevin Downton, who is 40 and from Winterborne Stickland near Blandford, 41-year-old Jason Baccus and 44-year-old Scott Keeping, both of Verney Close in Bournemouth, are all charged with murder.

All three men are next appearing at Winchester Crown Court in July 2017.

A 40-year-old Bournemouth woman, previously arrested in relation to the incident, has been released under investigation.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “It is important to stress – as is typical in such circumstances – that it would be entirely inappropriate for Dorset Police to comment further ahead of the trial.

“It is vital that the justice system is allowed to follow its course.”

Mr Hedger introduced the famous green heart logo for LV and a suite of multi award-winning campaigns with their distinctive ‘dum, diddy, dum’ soundtrack.
