TMA teams with CIExpert on protection comparison service

TMA Club has introduced a critical illness comparison service to its members in partnership with CIExpert.

The CIExpert adviser online service offers brokers access to a ranking system designed to match critical illness policies to each individual client’s needs, and will be available to all TMA members subscribed to the comparison service.

Rob McCoy, senior product and business manager at TMA, said the club was committed to simplifying processes across all its services.

He said: "The introduction of CIExpert is just one way in which we will continue to provide our members with technology that works efficiently and compliantly.

"We always aim to give back to our members and will continue to develop our proposition to maintain our position as the club of choice for intermediaries."

Alan Lakey, director at CIExpert, said the company was delighted to be working with TMA in support of its continued efforts to member loyalty through access to the comparison service.

He said: "Together with TMA’s position as a UK leading mortgage club and our position as the UK’s leading experts in critical illness insurance, we can equip its brokers with the tools to create detailed comparisons of both current and historic critical illness cover policies in minutes rather than hours."

Peter Chadborn, director and adviser at Plan Money, said it was encouraging to see more protection advisers using the CIExpert service.

He said: "Critical illness policy definitions can vary significantly between current provisions on the market, let alone legacy plans, to the extent that it is hard to fathom how critical illness advice could be given in confidence without using the CIExpert system."
