Currency trader charged with perverting course of justice

A foreign exchange trader has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

Alex Hope appeared at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court yesterday (30 November) where his case was sent to Inner London Crown Court.

The Financial Conduct Authority has alleged that between 1 April 2016 and 28 September 2016, with intent to pervert the course of public justice, Mr Hope embarked on a course of conduct which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice.

This is in relation to a restraint order made at Southwark Crown Court on 2 April 2012 and a confiscation order made against him by the same court on 12 February 2016.

Mr Hope will appear at Inner London Crown Court on 22 December 2017.
