Guide offers advisers help with lockdown tech

Model Office has published a guide for advisers on the technology available to them during the lockdown.

With the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown dragging on and remote working looking like something that is here to stay for quite some time despite gradual easing, Chris Davies, founder of regulation technology firm Model Office, said the financial services industry was facing "unprecedented challenges".

For many technology has become the go-to means of providing service, but not all tech is equal to the tasks facing individual advisory practices.

He said this was why Model Office decided to ask 17 major FinTech providers to provide simple and clear features and benefits reviews and outline services and products they are providing that can help advisers and planners through this difficult time.

He has combined this into a handbook, free for advisers and planners, to showcase how technology can help support advisers and planners in four key areas:

1.           Client Engagement

2.           Client, Practice and Business Management

3.           Business and Risk Management

4.           Useful technology and tools

Mr Davies added: "As we navigate our way through these strange times, it’s been so encouraging to see these great financial technology firms come together in this paper to show how they are helping advisers and planners.

“This handbook is a reference document providing a high-level overview from each FinTech provider demonstrating how they may be able to help your business meet your current and on-going challenges.”

The handbook is available to download for free here.
