Bailey: ‘Shocks’ responsible for incorrect inflation forecast

The BoE has not yet settled its pay round for the year, but Bailey said bank employees will not be receiving wage increases of more than 6 per cent. 

He said a priority will be ensuring lower paid staff get more of a share of the pay offered.
