Winterflood appoints new head of dealing

Winterflood Business Services has appointed Edward Dickson as its new head of dealing.

Mr Dickson is joining Winterflood from Charles Stanley, where he was deputy head of dealing.

As head of dealing Mr Dickson will be responsible for ensuring all trades are executed in line with Financial Conduct Authority best execution guidelines and will be responsible for helping WBS clients implement Mifid II.

Alex Kerry, head of Winterflood Business Services, said:  “Edward’s appointment strengthens our commitment to being market leaders in order handling and execution.

“He brings a wealth of experience to the dealing team, as we continue to assist firms in navigating a rapidly changing market and we are delighted to welcome Edward to WBS.

“As we look to the future, the asset management industry is on the cusp of great regulatory change, and the implementation of Mifid II presents a number of challenges for UK wealth and asset managers.”

At Charles Stanley Mr Dickson was responsible for executing the firm’s general flow, but also worked in the investment trust department and supported its ETF business.

Before joining Charles Stanley he was an equity dealer at Quilter & Co.
