Tilney seeks experienced planners in recruitment drive

Tilney has said it is looking for financial planners as part of its recruitment drive.

First among the new recruits is Andy Brown, who joins the firm's central investment team.

Hired from Sanlam Securities UK, Mr Brown will become a direct equity team leader.

But Tilney also said it was looking for financial planners and investment managers.

Jason Hollands, the company’s managing director for business development and communications, said: "We’re not putting a fixed number on headcount, it will depend ultimately on finding people of the right quality and fit with the business across multiple locations.

"We are however focused on experienced planners and investment managers, with excellent qualifications.

"We think we are very appealing employer for talented advisers as a group that is growing strongly, is investing in its brand and technology to support our advisers and with a top-quality range of services that combines both financial planning and investment management to provide clients with a holistic advice service."

Earlier this week Tilney Bestinvest announced that it would be rebranding as the Tilney Group following its acquisition of Towry for £600m.

Headquartered in Mayfair, the Tilney Group now has more than 300 financial planners, investment managers and advisers supporting over 100,000 clients from a network of 30 offices across the UK.
