Lighthouse reaches deal with Money Advice Service

Lighthouse Group has agreed a new contract with the Money Advice Service to be the preferred provider of financial advice to its employees.

The contract will initially run for one year.

Jon Penberthy-Smith, customer director at Mas, said: “We are very pleased to have secured this contract with Lighthouse as this will enable our employees access to financial planning assistance across a broad range of financial topics and will help them to make the most of financial planning opportunities.”

Mas, which was launched in April 2011, will soon be replaced with a single public financial guidance body.

In 2018 a new body will be launched to encompass the roles of Mas, Pension Wise and The Pensions Advisory Service.

This contract means Mas joins a growing list of Lighthouse’s affinity partnerships which includes organisations such as Unison, Unite, BA Clubs, Prospect, The Fire Brigades Union and the Royal College of Nursing.

Malcolm Streatfield, chief executive of Lighthouse, said: “We look forward to developing our relationship over the coming months and working closely with the Money Advice Service employees, who themselves are dedicated to helping others, and assisting them with their financial planning requirements.

“The board remains committed to increasing our affinity partnerships throughout the UK.”
