AFH buys three firms for more than £1m

AFH has bought three financial advisers based in the Cotswolds, Yorkshire and Cheshire.

The wealth management firm stated it had bought Granville Bates, Johnson Birkett and G-Force Financial for a maximum combined price of £1.9m.

The three acquisitions are expected to contribute approximately £500,000 of recurring revenue to the company.

Alan Hudson, chief executive of AFH, said: "The acquisitions represent our eight, ninth and tenth this year and demonstrate the increasing level of activity that we are seeing in the market.

"The client base reflects the continued national expansion of AFH and will be integrated in line with our established model."

"The company continues to seek high quality businesses of all sizes that will embrace the AFH culture of providing exceptional value to our growing client base while providing attractive returns to our shareholders."

The company has embarked on an acquisition spree in recent months, buying two firms in 24 hours in June.

The company announced an increase in pre-tax profits of 34 per cent to £1.15m in April and said that it had a continued appetite for acquisitions.
