Mr Lewis said: “Having previously led a team that dealt solely with the adviser market, I believe Brooks Macdonald has a great opportunity to build a strong presence in Wales.

“Its proven and ongoing support for financial advisers, underpinned by its high quality investment management, provides an ideal foundation to launch its service offering.”

Brooks Macdonald stated it plans to hire more investment managers soon.

Last week Brooks Macdonald reported that its funds under management had reached £10.5bn

That represented an increase of 25.9 per cent over the year and 5.3 per cent over the quarter.

Nick Holmes, managing director of Brooks Macdonald, said: “The Wales office opening will mark another significant milestone in the growth of our footprint across the UK as we continue to widen our reach to an expanding client base and strengthen the service we provide to clients and professional advisers in the area.”
