Personal Finance Society launches London members campaign

The Personal Finance Society (PFS) has launched a campaign to increase engagement between new and experienced members of the society in London.

A series of events throughout the year will be backed by a page on the social media site, Facebook, where a dedicated page has been created.

The events will carry 60 mins of CPD including presentations from trainees, planners, paraplanners, administrators and other practitioners as well as educational and technical input from relevant contributors.

The campaign will carry the branding London PFS and it is being run by the capital's committee of the Personal Finance Society.

Keith Richards, chief executive of the PFS, said: “‘The London committee’s Capital PFS initiative is a fantastic scheme aimed at establishing a strong community among financial advisers within the region; bringing together new entrants with experienced professionals, to share good practice and build their knowledge and skills all for the best outcome for their clients.”

The Personal Finance Society, which operates under a Royal Charter, has more than 37,000 members nationwide.

The first of the events, which are free to attend, will take place on 18 October with the rest listed on the Capital PFS Facebook page.
