IRESS helps advisers go virtual with video meeting tool

Advisers using Iress's XPlan can now meet and do business with clients virtually through digital workspace SuiteBox.

This means advisers who sign up for the new service will be able to schedule and hold video meetings with clients using XPlan, screen share documents and applications, record advice discussions and return all records of meetings directly to the client’s file notes.

Andrew Simon, executive general manager for product at Iress, said: “Clients are seeking engagement across a variety of channels from face-to-face to an online digital experience.

"The integration of SuiteBox with XPlan adds a video-based communication to XPlan. This will help financial advisers increase their options for effective and efficient client engagement.”

The integration will be available to XPlan users on version 2.21 or higher.

Ian Dunbar, chief executive of SuiteBox, said the integration helps busy financial advisers.

He added: “Busy professionals such as financial advisers, do not want to be using disparate tools with multiple, stand-alone applications.

"SuiteBox brings together meeting, collaboration and transactional capabilities that seamlessly integrate with XPlan, creating an exceptional proposition for advisers and their clients.”

Scott Gallacher, chartered financial planner at Leicester-based Rowley Turton, said: "We have a number of clients around the country that we mainly deal with remotely via telephone, e-mail and post.

"Consequently, this latest development by Iress is definitely to be welcomed and may encourage some IFAs to switch to XPlan.”
