PFS pays tribute to PR manager after sudden death

The Personal Finance Society's PR manager David Booth has died suddenly.

Mr Booth had worked at the PFS full-time since 2017, moving from a similar role at Tenet.

But he had been working with Keith Richards on a part-time basis since he took over as chief executive of the PFS in 2013.

Mr Richards, who worked at Tenet before moving to the PFS, said: "It is a complete shock to all of us.

"A nicer guy you couldn't meet and in all the years I have known him I couldn't imagine him having a bad word against anyone.

"He was a real asset to the PFS and was one of those unsung heroes who has done so much behind the scenes."

Mr Booth was involved in organising last year's PFS Festival of Financial Planning, which attracted more than 3,000 advisers.

He died on last Thursday after being taken to hospital.
