1825 managing director steps down

The managing director of 1825's north west branch has stepped down to take on a different role.

Dave Williams was previously managing director of Jones Sheridan, before the firm was sold to Standard Life's financial advice arm in 2016.

After the acquisition he became managing director for 1825's north west branch but will now be moving to a different, unspecified, role within the financial advice business.

His replacement as managing director will be Mike Cullinane, currently a regional manager in Standard Life UK distribution, who will join 1825 in August.

Mr Williams said: "Jones Sheridan has been part of 1825 for two years now, and it was always my plan to step back from the day to day running of the business. I know Mike very well and look forward to working with him."

He had been at Jones Sheridan for more than 13 years and before this he was an adviser at Mercer Jones.

Earlier this year 1825 bought London-based Cumberland Place Financial Management, which took the firm's number of financial advisers to 75 and its assets to more than £4bn.
