Agency launches marketing club for advisers

A marketing agency specialising in financial advice has launched a free initiative to help firms promote their businesses.

Next month The Yardstick Agency will launch a club for those at their firms who are responsible for marketing to help them share their experiences and learn from each other.

The First Wednesday Club will start in November with membership initially limited to 15 and it will meet online once a month.

Each "meeting" will last an hour and cover topics from strategy to websites and adviser directories to seminar marketing. Each member will also be asked to bring their challenges, problems and issues to the group for debate and help.

Phil Bray, founder of The Yardstick Agency, said: "We’ve noticed that many people with the responsibility for marketing often feel a little lonely and lost, with no one to bounce ideas off.

"The First Wednesday Club will provide a fantastic opportunity to collaborate, learn and receive practical support. It is open to everyone, not just Yardstick clients.

"Membership is completely free and is our way of giving something back, allowing us to achieve two of our key goals; helping advisers and planners market their business more effectively while promoting the value of advice and planning."

Each session will be interactive and recorded so members of The First Wednesday Club can revisit the resource afterwards. There will also be a private Facebook group where members can share ideas and support one another.

Those who are interested should email The Yardstick Agency at hi@theyardstickagency.co.uk with their contact details to register their interest.
