The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment has made four appointments to its financial planning forum committee, including James Mallinson, a senior manager for partnership development at St James's Place.
The CISI also appointed Neil Bailey, director of Fortitude Financial Planning and a former member of the Institute of Financial Planning's board, Amyr Rocha-Lima, a financial planner at Holland Hahn & Wills, and David Hearne, director of Statis Asset Management and previously a member of the CISI's wealth management professional forum.
Jacqueline Lockie, the CISI's head of financial planning, said: "We are very pleased to welcome all four new members to our financial planning forum which represents the financial planning community’s interests at CISI.
"At this exciting time and building on a successful annual conference, I look forward to working with them along with the rest of the committee, to grow the profession of financial planning."
The forum allows the CISI’s financial planning members to share their ideas and listen to presentations by other practitioners.
It also provides an opportunity for advisers to meet other professionals and engage in open discussions in a confidential setting, since forums are conducted under the Chatham House rule.
It is one of the CISI's nine professional forums which include compliance, fintech and international regulation.
Mr Mallinson said: "I am incredibly delighted to be joining the financial planning forum committee and working with the team at the CISI on its events, financial planning strategy, and areas of interest in the profession.
"I am passionate about holistic financial planning and hope that my contribution will assist the committee with its overall aims and objectives."
