WH Ireland appoints head of wealth management

WH Ireland has appointed Stephen Ford has the head of its wealth management division.

Mr Ford was previously an executive director at City Asset Management, the provider of investment services to private clients and families, where he reviewed and reinforced the investment process and reshaped the sales and distribution strategy.

Phillip Wale, chief executive of WH Ireland, said: "Appointing someone of Stephen's calibre to the role of head of wealth management represents an exciting step for the company as we continue along our path towards profitability and growing both of our businesses.

"I look forward to working with Stephen as we invest in, develop and grow the wealth management proposition at WH Ireland."

Mr Ford, who will join WH Ireland in February 2019, worked at Brewin Dolphin between 2000 and 2016 as head of the London office and then as transformation director.

In 2013 Mr Ford was appointed as head of wealth and investment management at Brewin Dolphin and was responsible for the group's income, growth, advice standards and customer outcomes.

Mr Ford said: "I am looking forward to growing the wealth management franchise at WH Ireland and believe that there is real opportunity for the division to continue to grow and thrive."
