Family office appoints director of wealth planning

Family office Stonehage Fleming has appointed a director as part of the growth of its wealth planning team.

Kate Boswell has been appointed as director at Stonehage Fleming Wealth Planning, starting in the position this week.

The role has been created as part of the team’s growth since it became fully integrated into the company in 2016, when Stonehage Fleming acquired FF&P Wealth Planning to offer clients onshore advice and wealth management services.

Ms Boswell joins Stonehage Fleming from Handelsbanken Wealth Management, where she was a client director and a head of private office, responsible for providing integrated investment, financial and tax planning services to clients.

Prior to this, Ms Boswell qualified as a chartered tax adviser, completing the majority of her training at Deloitte LLP in London.

Susie Hillier, head of wealth planning at Stonehage Fleming, said: "We are very pleased to welcome Kate as a Director at Stonehage Fleming.

"She has considerable experience in advising entrepreneurs on the management of their wealth outside of their business as well as private equity individuals at all stages of their financial journey.

"Kate’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to the further growth and development of our wealth planning offering to continue to meet the needs of our UK client base."

Ms Boswell said: "I am very pleased to join Stonehage Fleming’s wealth planning team and look forward to adding value to both existing and new clients by providing strategic wealth planning advice in conjunction with the wider Stonehage Fleming family services."
