James Hay supports CISI financial planners

James Hay is offering its technical pensions helpline to the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) financial planning mentoring scheme.

The self-invested personal pension (Sipp) provider is the latest to offer support to CISI’s financial planning mentees and mentors, following Schroders offering a helpline in January.

The CISI’s mentoring scheme was launched on January 1, with certified financial planners acting as mentors to members of the CISI financial planning forum who are searching for support to achieve their professional goals.

Jacqueline Lockie, head of financial planning at the CISI, said: "We are very pleased to have a second significant technical support helpline for our mentors and mentees kindly offered by James Hay.

"It is a clear signal that James Hay wholeheartedly backs this initiative to help us support and grow the financial planning profession for the public benefit.

"James Hay has a team of highly valued technical specialists who will offer members of the scheme access to its extensive pensions, tax and trust legislation knowledge."

Neil MacGillivray (pictured), head of technical support at James Hay, added: "We all have a part to play in ensuring that the financial planning industry continues to flourish, so we are delighted to be able to provide direct support to the CISI community."
