Tenet aspiring advisers scoop finance awards

Two aspiring advisers, who originally joined adviser group Tenet at administrative level, have been recognised at the annual Yorkshire Financial Awards.

Technical services and research consultant Kate Quarmby and trainee technical services and research consultant Bryony Morris both joined Tenet at an entry administrative level, but have since progressed to skilled technical roles at the adviser group.

Last week Ms Quarmby won the Rising Star category at the Yorkshire Financial Awards 2019 and Ms Morris was awarded Trainee of the Year.

Both have ambitions to become Chartered financial planners, with Ms Quarmby having completed her diploma in regulated financial planning last year and Ms Morris in the process of doing so.

Tenet’s group finance director, Keely Craig, said: "The challenge of bringing in new blood remains a significant issue for the financial services industry but we are demonstrating that with the right support, talent can be home grown.

"We are very proud of Kate and Bryony and they are shining examples of how far you can progress with the right mindset.

"At Tenet, we are great advocates of both apprenticeships and supporting our staff to progress with their qualifications."

Alex Gray, company director at Barker Brooks Communications who organised the awards, said: "Winning two awards is an incredible achievement.

"Bryony Morris winning Trainee of the Year and Kate Quarmby winning Rising Star is a testament to their individual hard work as well as the development in people supported by Tenet Group"

Last week Tenet was also ranked at 46th place in the list of best companies to work for in the Yorkshire and Humber area.
