Financial planner publishes retirement book

A financial planner has published a book for business owners and senior executives preparing for retirement.

Nicholas Platt, founder of financial planning company Henwood Court, launched his book earlier this month, titled ‘Retireability – the smart executive’s guide to thriving in retirement’.

The book is targeted at senior executives, directors and business owners preparing "emotionally and financially" for retirement.

Mr Platt said he is "fascinated" with the psychology of retirement, with the book inspired by his experience guiding hundreds of clients into retirement and his own father’s lack of retirement provision.

Mr Platt’s company Henwood Court is based in Sutton Coldfield with five financial planners and a ten-strong support team.

Henwood Court will donate £1 to their charity of the year, Sutton Coldfield YMCA, for every copy of the book purchased.

Anita Ellis, marketing & business development manager at the YMCA, said: "We are thrilled that Henwood Court has chosen us for their charity this year, YMCA Sutton Coldfield is really trying to change the perceptions of what we offer so a partnership with such a progressive company really helps."
