The SimplyBiz Group has appointed a managing director for its professional connections business, which specialises in helping advisers build connections with solicitors.
Dave Seager has taken up the role of managing director of Sifa Professional, having helped launch the division in 2009 and previously serving as its development director.
Mr Seager will focus on improving the support offered to financial advice companies seeking to develop connections with law firms.
Mr Seager said: "As part of the original team that launched the Sifa Professional proposition, I am very proud to have
seen the growth in both its membership and reputation.
"I am very excited to be taking Sifa Professional forward within both The SimplyBiz Group and the wider adviser market, in 2019 and beyond."
Neil Stevens, joint chief executive of The SimplyBiz Group, said there are "enormous" benefits for advisers in creating effective professional connections with law firms.
He said: "Dave is passionate about Sifa’s ethos of efficiently delivering high-quality and practical services to advisers.
"I believe that he, and the very experienced Sifa team he will now lead, can be a real force in helping advisers unlock
benefits and grow their business."
SimplyBiz currently offers regulatory and business support to more than 3,700 financial services companies and a further 8,500 advisers via its platform.
The group also announced David Ingram, managing director of Sifa, the wider brand to which Sifa Professional belongs, is leaving his position at the end of May.
Mr Stevens added: "David was appointed as managing director of Sifa with the primary purpose of evolving the compliance offering and developing wider services to support more sophisticated adviser firms.
"I would like to thank David for his contribution over the past three years."
