Beaufort Financial expands into Liverpool

Beaufort Financial has added a Liverpool office to its national partnership of IFAs.

The national advice network announced Beaufort Financial (Liverpool) will be led by Edward Cullen and Steve Lavelle, after they decided to set up in business together and opted to join the Beaufort Financial partnership.

Mr Cullen brings with him 140 private and corporate clients to the new firm and approximately £50m of assets under management.

“We aim to offer a comprehensive range of financial planning services and to advise existing and future clients through four distinct phases of life – the creation of wealth, its maintenance, growth and finally, protection.

"Our approach is to build bespoke solutions for each individual client,” he said.

Mr Cullen began his career with Pearl Assurance, before moving into banking and most recently running his own IFA firm, where he worked with Mr Lavelle.

He also has a banking background, advising commercial and corporate clients before becoming an IFA.

“We are delighted to join a well-established, slick operation which provides all the back office and support services an IFA business needs,” Mr Cullen added.

“We wanted to partner with someone whose ethos mirrors our own and we have found that with Beaufort Financial.”

It is the first time the network has had a presence in Liverpool and it will be based at St Paul’s Square, with plans to appoint two more advisers.

Beaufort Financial now has 19 partner firms across England, Wales and Scotland, advising more than 12,000 clients.

Derrick Dunne, chief executive of Beaufort Financial, said opening an office in Liverpool was an important development for the Beaufort Financial Partnership.

“We are very pleased that Ed and Steve have joined us and we look forward to helping them develop their business over the coming years,” he added.
