PFS: The profession has seen a 'cultural shift'

He said: "What I have seen more of over 2019, and hope to see more of, is a profession actually gaining confidence.

"And the more people who become chartered, the more we work on those professional standards and the more we combine as a profession to become more confident.

"And you can see that in the way people respond to correct challenge from external parties, such as the regulator and consumer groups.

"When the profession is challenged, far more now than ever before it is coming together with a positive response and that I think is very important."
