Paraplanners join forces to expand Plan Works
Paraplanners Nathan Fryer and Siân Davies Cole

Nathan Fryer, founder of outsourced paraplanning firm Plan Works, is partnering with fellow paraplanner Siân Davies Cole in a move to grow the firm’s services to advisers.

Ms Davies Cole will be joining the business as a partner and director as it launches a tax planning as well as new consultancy service.

The enlarged team will offer advisers help with tax vehicles such as Enterprise Investment Schemes and Venture Capital Trusts, alongside consulting options on business efficiency and client service.

The firm already offers suitability report writing, technical and financial planning guidance, platform due diligence and working with advice firms on their central investment propositions.

Ms Davies Cole said: “We intend to grow organically, through referrals, which tends to generate the right kind of business for a firm of our size and we’ll likewise grow the business one member of staff at a time, probably starting with an administrator as support for Nathan and me as the paraplanners.”

Mr Fryer said: “Plan Works has been built on quality and integrity, working with advice firms that have the client very firmly at the centre of everything they do. It is that quality of firm that we will continue to work with.

“Bringing a partner into the business enhances decision-making, balances the running of the business and allows for greater focus on quality and development.”

Mr Fryer established Plan Works in 2013 and has run it as a one-man operation until now.

Prior to this, he worked in sales for UBS Global Asset Management and Fidelity International.

Ms Davies Cole joined the firm from Bristol IFA Aspirations, where she was head of paraplanning.

Prior to that she was senior paraplanner at The Citimark Partnership and chartered paraplanner at Attivo Group.
