Threesixty MD steps down to join Stockport IFA

The outgoing managing director of compliance firm Threesixty Services is to join independent financial adviser Cullen Wealth as the advice firm eyes future growth plans.

Gary Crossley will join the firm as managing director from November when he will “drive the next steps of the strategic growth of the company”, Richard Cullen, chairman of Cullen Wealth, told FTAdviser.

Mr Crossley will take operational day-to-day control of the firm and help grow the company alongside Mr Cullen and the rest of the board of directors.

Working at Threesixty for the last nine years, Mr Crossley spent the majority of his time as compliance director before becoming managing director in July this year.

Threesixty is one of the largest independent compliance consultancy firms for advisers, looking after around 900 firms.

Mr Cullen said: “I am very pleased Cullen Wealth has attracted someone of Mr Crossley’s experience and seniority.

“He has a depth of experience and insight with both the IFA market and other advisory practices as well as dealing with the complexities of running a Financial Conduct Authority regulated business.

“His history in leading other IFA practices as well as nine years at Threesixty will be invaluable to us.”

Cullen Wealth, based in Stockport, currently has 23 advisers and manages around £1bn of client assets.

It featured in FTAdviser’s top 100 financial advisers for 2019, ranking in 15th place.
