Openwork has appointed its wealth and platform director into the newly created role of chief commercial officer (CCO) as it focuses on expanding its wealth proposition.

The financial advice and investment network has appointed Mike Morrow to lead on developing its proposition, wealth platform and contractual relationships with adviser firms and third parties.

Mr Morrow starts as CCO at the end of January, having run Openwork’s wealth channel since 2015.

Meanwhile Claire Limon, current director of learning and acquisition, joins the network’s executive committee as wealth director.

Ms Limon will remain responsible for wealth adviser recruitment and the network’s academy and learning and development.

Philip Howell, chief executive of Openwork, said: "Key to our success will be our ability to focus on strategic implementation of our key deliverables and it is to this end that I have created a new role of chief commercial officer.

“Mike’s understanding of the business alongside his experience and background makes him the best candidate for this important new role.

"These changes will position us well for our growth ambitions across the business and our specific focus expanding our successful wealth proposition.”

Additionally Pat McKenna, sales director at Openwork’s specialist protection advice business Owl Financial, will be retiring in March and succeeded by Liam Richards, Owl’s current head of sales.
