Openwork recruits 257 advisers in ‘best ever’ quarter

The Openwork Partnership has achieved its “best ever” quarter for recruitment, following its rebrand in February this year.

A total of 36 appointed representatives and 257 advisers joined the directly authorised, multi-panel distribution network in the first three months of the year.

This was its highest ever quarter for recruitment ahead of the previous record in the third quarter in 2009.

A large chunk of it was made up of advisers from Andrews Property Group who joined Openwork this month.

Andrews has 47 offices throughout the south of England and Openwork's mortgage and protection advisers rose to more than 2,500 following the addition of the firm.

Openwork Partnership has future growth plans for further 46 appointed representatives and 337 advisers.

Claire Limon, wealth director at Openwork Partnership, said: “The rebrand earlier this year signalled our plans to target becoming the UK’s leading advice network ranked on better outcomes for more clients, by reputation and by growth across the business.

“Record recruitment across the network in the first three months of the year, with particular success in the mortgage and protection sector, is an excellent first step and we have a strong pipeline in place for future recruitment.”

In June last year, Openwork saw its network membership exceed 4,000 advisers as 100 advisers joined during the first lockdown period.

Currently it has 4,300 advisers and 700 member firms.
