Maven Wealth Management appoints financial planning chief

Maven Wealth Management has hired Gareth Tregidon as head of financial planning.

Tregidon previously spent six years at independent financial planning practice Stafford House Investments as a wealth manager.

Prior to that, he ran the financial planning department for Wales-based accountancy firm Bevan & Buckland.

Wes Nixon, chief executive of Maven, said: "Gareth is a great addition to Maven. His vast experience within the sector, coupled with his work at the CISI where he’s been living and breathing genuine goal-orientated financial planning for over 15 years made him the standout candidate to lead our financial planning team.”

Tregidon has been a senior assessor for the chartered financial planning licence since 2008, and was branch chairman of the Institute of Financial Planning in South Wales from 2006 to 2011, before its merger with the CISI.

He is a certified financial planner and chartered wealth manager.

Maven is owned by Independent Wealth Planners, which acquires local firms and offers support services, but says it leaves the day-to-day management in the hands of their teams, who may also retain a participation in the ownership of the business.
