Adviser trio launches boutique firm to compete with large advice businesses

Three wealth and mortgage advisers have launched an advice firm in Elstree, which sets out to compete with larger firms.

WealthWise Financial Solutions has been created by Daniel Aharon, Neil Jacobs and Alex Mammon who together have experience advising personal investors, homebuyers and businesses.

The firm launches with ten staff, consisting of six advisers covering a mix of wealth management and mortgages, and four support staff.

Despite the uncertain backdrop of the pandemic, the team kept their plan to launch on track.

The firm aims to offer clients a more efficient, less bureaucratic and personalised option over choosing large providers for their investment and mortgage needs.

Jacobs, who began his career at the Royal Bank of Scotland and was most recently at Prosperity Wealth Creation where he spent five years, is the cofounder and director of wealth planning at WealthWise Financial Solutions.

He said: “We have brought together the best of everything clients told us they needed over our many years of experience. Our clients will get top quality advice, a highly efficient service with low bureaucracy, solutions tailored to their needs and presented in a friendly, personalised way.

“We offer all the services of larger providers but with an added human touch. We look forward to bridging the gap for any clients who feel they wanted the type of service and expertise we offer but lacked credible options.”

Mammon and Aharon are co-founders and directors of mortgages and secured lending.

Aharon has 17 years' experience in the industry as a mortgage and protection adviser, covering all areas of property finance. He previously worked for Gale & Phillipson, Vintage Financial Solutions and Hightree Financial Solutions.

He said: “The aftermath of Covid will put many people in a position where they will need to seek expert advice to navigate obstacles that will undoubtedly be thrown their way as a result of the pandemic.

“Those people who wouldn’t ordinarily have had an issue applying for a mortgage may find that having taken government support they now face problems in terms of affordability. We will ensure the aftermath of Covid is managed accordingly and in the best way possible for our clients.”

WealthWise Financial Solutions provides advice across a wide range of services including investments, savings, mortgages and protection.

Mammon, who was previously mortgage and protection adviser at Life Financial Solutions, and also held roles at Halifax and John Charcol, added: “With all that the pandemic and lockdowns have thrown at us, we have forged ahead with the plan and finally are launching at a time when people have never needed wealth planning and mortgage advice more.

“Our approach is jargon free and straight forward; uses technology to its advantage; and is backed by great advisers with specific expertise who work together as a close-knit team.

"We are committed to putting our clients at the heart of everything we do and helping them achieve a practical plan that puts them in control of their financial future.”
