Schroders' Cazenove Capital opens Manchester office

Cazenove Capital is to open an office in Manchester to serve its client base in the North West.

In a statement today (August 3), the firm said the office formed “part of a strategy to build on-the-ground presence in the major UK regional hubs”.

The firm’s North West team is headed up by Simon Pearson, who was previously head of the North West for UBS. He will become head of the Manchester office.

Pearson said established family businesses in the North West continued to adapt to drive long-term growth and as a result, the region was home to an increasing number of innovative start-ups.

He added: “The government’s levelling up agenda will only boost this momentum, providing a supportive context for local business owners. Our team is dedicated to delivering personalised wealth management services for business owners and all client groups in the region.”

Cazenove Capital is a wealth manager, providing financial planning, lending and portfolio management.

It is part of Schroders Wealth Management, which has £76.3bn in assets under management as at June 30 (including Cazenove Capital).

Mary-Anne Daly, chief executive at Cazenove Capital, said: “This is an important step to deliver on our ambition to bring personalised, meaningful wealth management services to client groups across the UK.

"This office opening is a testament to the work of the North West team in driving Cazenove Capital’s proposition in  the region, and to the strong relationships the team holds with clients – established and new.”
