A CII spokesperson said: "To create the consultation’s draft professional map the CII engaged with leaders, practitioners, HR and L&D leaders from large corporates and SMEs to specifically understand the skills required to be effective and succeed, as well as the key behaviours identified by leaders as characteristics of top talent.
"The CII was delighted to hold interviews with 21 representatives from the financial planning sector, followed by focus-group input and validation from a cohort including four PFS board members and another eight representatives from paraplanning and personal finance.
"Further, the CII is holding ongoing employer engagement with seven high-profile organisations. Building on this deep engagement, we have arranged a follow-on workshop to ensure we specifically hear PFS Power feedback and valuable input about the PFS map and make any changes that we all believe are appropriate.
"We are pleased to be receiving consultation responses, and encourage everyone to have their say on the proposals before it closes on December 17."
