FE Fundinfo appoints chief product officer from Bravura

FE Fundinfo has appointed Simon Clare as its chief product officer and has committed to further acquisitions in 2022.

Clare joins from Bravura where he was chief technology officer for just over a year, having been with the firm since May 2013. He previously spent time in a range of product manager roles at fintech firm SS&C.

In his new role, Clare will be responsible for developing FE Fundinfo’s new product and service lines, and improving the group’s fund data, technology, research and investment solutions.

Hamish Purdey, chief executive at FE Fundinfo, said in a statement today (January 4): “Simon brings a wealth of experience and industry understanding which will be critical as we integrate and leverage our deep product footprint to deliver the full capability of our data, people and technology for our customers’ benefit.”

Clare added: “I am incredibly excited to be joining FE Fundinfo at this important stage in the company’s growth and even more so at the prospect of the role we can play in the evolution of the investment and wider financial services industry.

“I firmly believe that providing everyone with access to high quality financial services through easy-to-use digital platforms is a fundamental component of our future society."

The appointment comes after a year of international acquisitions for the firm, and in the statement today it said it is set to “continue its ambitious plans into 2022”, through a programme of “organic and inorganic growth”.

In May, the firm acquired cashflow planning provider CashCalc, one of the main planning and forecast tools for IFAs in the UK.

This was followed in August by the takeover of Danish fund data and technology firm FundConnect

Finally, in October the firm acquired an Australian-based research, ratings, managed accounts and adviser technology provider, called Zenith Group.

FE FundInfo was formed from the merger of FE, FundInfo and F2C in 2017, and provides investment research and portfolio services to IFAs, including FE Analytics.
