The content on the platform, called FutureMe, is focussed on career development and was produced by the CII in partnership with Abintegro, a provider of career empowerment technology.

It offers interactive tools and career skills e-learning, including more than 5,000 videos, 800 e-learning bites, 14 personality assessments and 300 soft business and IT skills courses.

It includes career pulse, which is a self-assessment tool to enable professionals to see how employable they are and identify the areas they need to develop, and a CV builder to assess a member’s CV against more than 50 checks and provide personalised feedback.

The platform also has an artificial intelligence programme called interview 360 which simulates an interview environment and delivers feedback.

Gill White, chief customer officer of the CII, said it created FutureMe in response to feedback from professionals wanting more support on how to further their professional development and achieve their career ambitions.

CII said the new platform launched today (April 7), enables professionals to identify where they are in their career and encourages them to think about where they want to go next.

“The CII’s recent consultation – Shaping the future together – encouraged members and stakeholders to share their views and help shape the professional body’s future strategy, White said.

“A crucial part of the consultation proposals focussed on putting the CII learning framework and membership proposition at the core of the CII strategy, and future-proof its learning and membership offer for a changing world.”

The FutureMe platform can be accessed by all CII members fir free via the learning section of the MyCII portal.

White added: “With the launch of FutureMe the CII provides content and tools to help members with their career development and achieve their ambitions.

“This new content sits alongside existing CPD content, online learning and technical qualifications from the CII, and members will be signposted to relevant content based on personalised skills gaps identified via the Professional Map.”

The CII said to support this further, its board will, in the coming months, use consultation feedback to help inform its next five-year strategy.

Last year, the CII faced exam glitches as candidates having taken exams in the past 48 hours were unable to view their results and certificates online.

During the pandemic, the CII also apologised to candidates for “unacceptable instances” including problems with accessing remote invigilation sessions and technical issues during sittings.

Candidates had experienced a delayed start to a remote invigilated exam in July 2020, followed by some candidates experiencing technical issues with a remote multiple choice exam in August.

Technical issues continued in test centres in October 2020, with candidates claiming their computer system froze or shut down hours into the exam.

However, these issues continued into 2021. In March, the CII was forced to issue its exam results a day early after it suffered a technical issue, causing confusion among candidates.

Last month, the CII saw further exam glitches with some candidates unable to book their R06 examination.

At the time, individuals were able to view the exam booking voucher on their CII account, but were unable to view and book the exam when it redirected them to PSI - the exam centre and assessment provider.
