IFA consolidator Independent Wealth Planners has acquired a Cambridgeshire-based financial planning specialist firm.

Holistic Financial Leadership was set up in 2014 and has £252mn in assets under advice across five financial advisers, four client relationship managers and nine other team members.

Following the deal, all staff remain will remain in the company with director Patricia Hope.

Brenda Santimano will be appointed as chief executive officer of Holistic Financial Leadership.

The firm covers all of the UK and focuses on private client wealth, as well as providing executive care services to SMEs, larger corporate companies and employees approaching retirement and facing redundancy.

Santimano said: “As a female-led advisory firm, I am proud to say Holistic Financial Leadership is passionate about diversity, supporting women’s leadership and enterprise.”

With the backing of IWP, she added, the company has an “exciting opportunity” to continue to grow and develop our proposition to reach new clients across the UK in whatever sector.

“Providing financial leadership in all areas from corporate care services, savings, investment portfolios and mortgages, to retirement, estate and business continuity planning is key.”

IWP launched in 2019 as an advice consolidator, and since then has acquired over 30 IFAs across the UK.

At the end of last year, its assets under management sat at £6bn across 120 advisers and 400 staff members.

IWP chief executive David Inglesfield has previously said the company is aiming to acquire 50 firms by 2025.

Last December, he said: “We believe the UK has some truly excellent independent financial advice firms, and with the backing of IWP, we can replicate the expertise throughout to deliver a consistent, best of breed service to many more individuals and businesses across the country.”
