Electronic quote and application service provider Assureweb has rebranded itself following acquisition by American software company iPipeline.

Assureweb has changed its coporate name to iPipeline to strengthen the parent company’s name in the UK market. The firm currently services 22,500 IFAs, 5,700 firms and 33 providers.

Tim Wallace, chief executive officer of iPipeline, said: “iPipeline is excited about extending our value to the UK by rebranding Assureweb. Sharing our brand allows us to communicate how the strength of our people and innovative solutions will have a positive impact on how the UK-based firms and advisers market, sell and process financial products.”

The acquisition in May of last year allowed iPipeline to get its foot in the door on this side of the Atlantic and was the opening move in a larger expansion plan into continental Europe.

Since the acquisition, Assureweb’s Mercury platform has added several iPipeline products including iGO e-App, e-policy delivery service PolicyEX and policyholder resource solution PolicyHS, after testing with customers in the UK market.
