National wealth management firm Towry has advanced further into Scotland by acquiring Aberdeenshire-based Conclusion Financial Planning.

The deal follows Towry’s acquisition in March of Glasgow-based Norscot Financial Services.

The firm has also bolstered staffing at its Aberdeen office and announced plans earlier this year that it was in discussions with 85 other firms across the UK.

Headed by John Pope, and assisted by his son Guy Pope, Conclusion Financial Planning has been providing financial advice for clients in and around Aberdeenshire since 2006. It has around 50 clients and £15m of assets under management.

The Pope’s will now be based at Towry’s Aberdeen office. John Pope said: “Through the extensive services and investment management solutions that Towry offers, I am sure that this move will only serve to benefit our existing clients.”

Andy Cowan, head of wealth advice for Towry, said: “We are keen to seek growth opportunities in some of our most important client regions, including in Aberdeenshire, and as such we see Conclusion Financial Planning as an excellent fit for our business.”
