SVG Investment Managers is to rebrand as GVO Investment Management following its acquisition by Swiss fund manager Hansa.
SVG runs the £157m SVG UK Focus fund, which ranked in the top quartile of the IMA UK All Companies sector in one, three and five year periods to November 13, according to FE Analytics. The group also runs the £95m Strategic Equity Capital investment trust.
Chief executive and fund manager Adam Steiner said the rebranding would “help us to establish a clear identity in investment management”.
Hansa bought SVG IM from private equity group SVG Capital in August. The new name refers to Hansa’s chairman Georg von Opel.
