European fund house Syz & Co Asset Management will list its 15 Oyster funds on the Raymond James platform in its first move to gain UK distribution.

The group will target advisers as well as wealth and discretionary managers with its range of funds, which includes the Oyster European Selection fund run by former Axa manager Eric Bendahan and its European Corporate Bonds fund, which was ranked the number one fund in the UK over 10 years by Lipper at its awards this month.

Syz & Co Asset Management is the UK asset management firm of Swiss banking group Syz & Co. The Oyster fund range has assets under management of €5.7 bn (£4.7bn).

The asset management business has been active in the UK for 13 years but primarily focused on institutional management.

However, it registered its funds in the UK three years ago and now it has moved to list them on the Raymond James platform to broaden its distribution reach.

“The partnership with Raymond James underlines the development of the UK market, following on from the recruitment of UK focused business development staff and the launch of several funds targeting UK investors,” the company said.

“The latest example was the launch in December of the Oyster Continental European Selection fund, a Europe ex-UK version of its successful flagship fund Oyster European Selection managed by Eric Bendahan.”

The Continental European Selection fund has an ongoing charge of 1.27 per cent while the European Corporate Bonds fund has an ongoing charge of 0.89 per cent.
