Multi-manager Tony Yousefian has left Charteris less than three months after he joined the company from rival boutique City Financial.

Mr Yousefian joined Charteris in April and brought with him his CF OPM Property fund, which he had taken to City Financial as part of the buyout of his former firm OPM Fund Management.

The manager said he was now on gardening leave from Charteris.

“I have left the company and am now on gardening leave,” he said.

Charteris’s chief executive Ian Williams told Investment Adviser the company was not commenting on Mr Yousefian’s departure.

When Mr Yousefian joined the group, the company outlined plans to boost its market presence including new fund launches.

In May, the group said it planned to launch the Elite Charteris Strategic Gilt fund imminently, for Mr Yousefian and Mr Williams to co-manage.

Mr Yousefian was expected to focus on selecting corporate bonds, while Mr Williams was set to select gilts. He will also utilise his experience trading in income-boosting covered calls, as well as complex yield curve prediction systems, to boost the returns on offer.
