The Zurich collection of funds has been updated on the firm’s retail platform, with the Standard Life Global Index Linked bond replacing JPMorgan’s Strategic bond in the range designed to provide customers with inflation protection.

The change reflects provider Square Mile’s view that the Standard Life bond provides a stronger inflation protection solution for advisers’ customers.

Zurich and Square Mile also have plans to enhance the collection with the addition of investment trusts in the second half of this year, adding to the exchange traded funds already available.

All of the funds are clean share classes and are aimed at advisers looking to select from a narrower range of funds.

Mark Peters, head of retail wealth propositions at Zurich, said: “We remain committed to supporting advisers in helping to simplify investments for them and their customers.”

Nigel Whittingham, director at Square Mile, said: “As investors look for more tangible outcomes from the funds they are invested in, qualitative in depth fund research, which helps identify the right funds to meet their expectations, becomes very important for advisers seeking to give their clients the best possible advice.”
