Financial services firm Beckett Investment Management Group has recruited an apprentice to join its private client team, Lesley Delaney has announced.

The administration manager at the Bury St Edmunds-based firm said: “Scott Wright has taken up a key role supporting our administrators and advisers.”

The apprenticeship will lead to a level three NVQ in business and administration, in conjunction with West Suffolk College.

Mr Wright, 21, said: “This is a great opportunity to establish a career in financial services and gain the training and support I need.”

Background

The Financial Skills Partnership has developed an apprenticeship framework for financial services, in consultation with professional bodies such as the Chartered Insurance Institute, City and Guilds, the Financial and Legal Skills Partnership and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

There are three frameworks that relate to insurance - the level two in ‘intermediate apprenticeship in providing financial services’, the level three in ‘advanced apprenticeship in providing financial services’ and the level four in ‘higher apprenticeship in insurance’.
